WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP
Local children’s charity Face The Future have joined up with Surrey Athletic Football Club by agreeing to sponsor the clubs two new kits. Face The Future was founded by Gary and Alison Lane as a result of losing their youngest son Jake, who had Treacher Collins Syndrome and required a tracheotomy tube to help him breathe, at the age of three. The charity has a small group of volunteers who through various events have managed to raise £18,000.00 and which has enabled them to buy their very first caravan in Selsey at White Horse Bunn Leisure Holiday Village. The family three-bedroom caravan is set in relaxing parkland offering swimming pools, restaurants, bars and a health club.
Club secretary Des Clark said: “We are delighted to be associated with Face The Future and help publicise the excellent work they do. All our lads have taken the charity to their hearts and we get a lot of our players attending their events as well as holding regular collections on match days.”
If you have a child who has any facial abnormalities Face The Future would like to offer you and your family the chance to enjoy a weeks holiday, subject to availability, at the caravan park free of charge by contacting Alison Lane on 01483 837 523.
